Wishing for the end!!

I am wishing for the end of winter right now. It has been so cold here and I am just literally so sick of the snow that I could PUKE! I can’t believe it. Everyone has been sick. It’s not fun. I had to get some more sweaters yesterday. I don’t even have enough to make it through the week. I’ve had this terrible cold spell lately. So I got some super warm sweaters. Of course I headed to my favorite store, Kohl’s, they had good deals on pants, sweaters, silk ties, and so much more. They are getting rid of all the extra stuff from Christmas. So I scored deals and some stuff up to 80% off.

I’ve got to get in touch with Sprint, my cell phone provider on Monday. I have had the WORST customer service over the past 2 weeks and I am so upset that I want to terminate my service with them. I can’t even DEAL with it anymore. I am just shy of contacting the CEO of Sprint. I would be interested in hearing if anyone has actually gotten anywhere by contacting them. It’s so flustrating. UGH! I will keep you posted. Okay… I’m off for the night… Time for me to have a snack and head to bed!!!

Gossip? & A Movie…

It’s been a long weekend here… We grabbed a few movies, one of them was Eagle Eye. I didn’t care for that. But the other movie was Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I thought it was pretty funny. I love the main characters in it. Marshall from How I Met Your Mother and Veronica Mars from Veronica Mars. They are such a good couple to play these characters!! And it was a great movie. I loved the humor and the end was great.

I read a little Celeb Gossip… As always… it starts my day, like coffee starts most peoples. LOL I love Britney gossip! Well she was in the news so it was great! But it was GOOD news… Her brother was married on New Year’s Eve in a private ceremony. How wonderful for the family. Honestly, I am glad to see the positive. I really am! Miley Cyrus was also in the news. There is something about child stars I tell you. She got her learners permit to drive. Her car… her mom’s OLD porsche. Her dream is for her 16th birthday to get a new car. Are you kidding me? I have no idea WHAT kid LEARNS to drive in a porsche?!?!? You can read here. She can pop her Samsonite luggage in the truck and take off to her next destination. I can’t believe she would even WANT another car… a porsche!! Okay, nevermind!!

Economy Struggles?

How many of you are feeling the tensions of the current economy? I am beginning to wonder what is going to happen… Are we headed for another depression? It’s really scary to me. Honestly. I am afraid to have to explain all of this to my children. I don’t know how to explain this to them. It’s horrible. My brother is in his LAST year of high school and getting ready to graduate. He’s wondering what type of job he should consider. He’s wondering what type of carear he should consider. He’s wondering what path in college. I can’t help him how can I help MY kids!! It’s honestly scary to have to think about it. The jobs in IT and the jobs in machines seems to be stable right now, however, I can’t help but think that will suddenly change too!! The automakers are suffering and I can’t believe that because everyone NEEDS a vehicle!! UGH! It’s so confusing….

Rock Band

How many of my readers are addicted? My entire family is lost… they are gone… they’ve been sucked in to the PS3 I swear… I don’t have any family left. They have found rock band, a total of 2 guitars, a microphone, drums and a game… it’s horrible. The kids have learned how to play it so well, but man oh man!! I swear!! They are missing in action. Some day… I hope they return!!

Celeb Diets

How many of these do you by? I’ve seen so many of the Celebs fad diets on the cover of OK! Magazine, People, etc and I am beginning to wonder how many of them actually are legite. How many of them really work and how many of them are just a lie and the celebs really are just working out and cutting back. Some of the diets include a hard workout and some include diet pills, like Fentraphen. I personally have dealt with a weight loss journey. It took me a little better then 6 months to lose 26 pounds. I was on a strict diet and worked out at least 3 times a week. I think that it is possible for you to lose more then that in a shorter time, but is it healthy? I would have to question that. I know my doctors questioned the loss and they were concerned because it was fast. I don’t think it was that fast. But that is because I was going through the dieting and the excersing and what not… Anyone else have input?

Okay, having that out of the way let’s talk about other stuff shall we. LOL I am going to right here admit that I purchased Britney Spears new album Circus. And guess what… I love it. I am so glad she is still making music. I am sure there are a million people that wish she’d just burry herself, but I think she’s talented and had a hard time like everyone else and I am GLAD to see her go on!! GO BRITNEY! I can’t wait to see what’s next for her!!

I am looking at some unlocked cell phones. My brother decided to throw his phone the other day and it’s now got a cracked display. The advantage of having an unlocked phone is that no matter what carrier you change to, you can keep your phone. I think this is a great idea expecially if you are buying a much more expensive phone then the cheap “free” phone some comapnies offer.

Okay, well it’s time to climb into my pj’s. It’s freezing here. The snow keeps falling and it’s making it colder and colder and it’s not helping me to stay warm that’s for sure! So I am going to cuddle up in my pj’s with the fireplace on and try to warm up some. It seems to get colder when the night time comes even though the heat is still at the same temp. UGH! Night bloggers!

Another Celeb Baby!!

You all know how much I love celeb gossip. Well I love celeb babies too!! hehe I was looking forward to FINALLY hearing news of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s baby. She was 2 weeks overdue so it’s no wonder that it took a long time for us to hear the baby news. None the less, the baby has finally arrived. Pete and Ashlee welcomed a son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, who weighed weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long. What a perfect size baby!! And for being 2 weeks over due that really isn’t a HUGE baby like some over due babies are!! They exlain the name here. I didn’t think that the name was odd at all, but that is me. I looked all over the net for some baby pictures though and couldn’t find any. I was hoping to find a cute picture of him, as I envisioned him in a little green alligator sleeper and hat. LOL Maybe we’ll get some baby photos soon!! Perhaps People or someone has exclusive photos for the next cover *giggles* One can hope!!

What’s On Your Wishlist?

So the kids informed me that they are making their wish lists for Santa. My son boldly stated “Santa said I could have ANYTHING I wanted.” Oh really?!? I think I need to chat with Santa!! While my daughter took the conservative route… “I’ll just have…” and started a list a mile long. Oh they are a riot I tell you!! Then I get to hubby and here’s the convo:

He says “I just NEED one thing from Santa.”

Okay I’ll bite…

Me: “What’s that babe?”

Him: “A Slingbox!”

Me: “Why does that sound like something you are going torture me with?”

Him: “Oh torture is not the word!” as he walks away with this evil laugh.

So I look it up online… I think *I* need this gadget more then HE does!! It’s like taking your DVR from home with you wherever you go. Now if you know me you’ll know that my DVR is right under God in my world. I LOVE it SOOOOO much!!! I think I might actually buy him one just so *I* can reap the benefits too… MUAH!!

Vegas Baby!!!

I am super excited!! I know I’ve blogged about this before, but I am actually going to go to las vegas!!!! You all know that my god-daughter was born on October 21, 2008. Well she’s going to be baptized and they are making the plans. They are planning after February when we have taxes back. So we are going to have my parents or hubby’s parents keep the kids and we are going for 4 days. We will leave on Thursday night and come home on Monday morning. And the baptism will be on Sunday. I am looking forward to it. I can’t wait!!! How much fun will it be? And we will be with Mike and Liz and they KNOW Vegas so we will totally have a blast!! As soon as we have definete dates I’ll let you all know… *YAY*

It’s been a long few days…

It’s definetly been a series of a long few days here. With the kids in school and the weather becoming cooler I totally have no energy to do anything. It seems like things have gotten so bad for the end of the year. I don’t know why but I will be really glad to have 2008 wrap up. It seems that way for a lot of my friends too. it just hasn’t turned out to be that great of a year this year. Medically, *I* have been healthy, but both of my kiddos had surgery which was hard on me. My hubby has taken on several new jobs and moved around at work so that has been stressful… and we’ve had a few deaths, and well grandma is not doing well at all. It’s just all alot to take in right now. I’m trying to balance everything the best that I can but I am kind of at that point where I am just so busy I am making it through and not really even thinking about the days as they go… just going through… I think I need one of those fancy European cruises to get me out of this cabin fever and feeling of blah… Hopefully 2009 will be a better year for us all!!
