But, it is important to think about before you buy. I hate things mounted to the wall. Everytime you want to paint or wallpaper, you have a problem. The wall is then damaged and will need repair. It's not like a quick fix for a nail from hanging a picture. I'm always surprised at the number of people who do this; plus you can't re-arrange the room which is a pain to my way of thinking. The TV then has become the center of your room which I also dislike. Using your current stand though for the DVD's etc sounds like a good partial solution. Good Luck and enjoy your new TV.
