Housework that never ends!

August 7th, 2008 by BlogRmom

I’m finding my motivation these days slim and far between. I have none. I have very little. Actually, I think it’s because of housework. If I didn’t have housework, I would have LOTS of motivtion. Really. Actually that is it. I know that is it. LOL I hate doing any of it. I like a clean house, but I want a maid. Yup… sounds like the PERFECT plan!! In my PERFECT world! Not… Back to reality… There is laundry to do, a floor to mop, a dishwasher to unload and lunch to make, the dog needs a bath, the pool needs attention… UGH!

My brother is here… things have worked out. I talked to my parents and they are fine with everything now. My mom is upset, hurt, just like a mom would be, but he’s 5 months from being 18… there’s not alot you can do. So other then that there’s no more to update there. He’s living here. Not sure for how long, but for now.

As I said above, the pool needs attention… I am the proud owner of a green pool. We ran out of clorine. So today I have to go get some and shock the crap out of it to get the green away. So I have to run to the store and get shock… UGH!! And then I suppose I will start the housework *sigh*

I also have to make a call to a few mortgage lenders. We really want to refinance our home. We had an appraisal done a while back. We just haven’t gotten a lender we felt was worth doing all the paperwork for. We obviously want a better deal then what we have currently. So I am not sure… It’s so daunting!! Who said owning a house was fun?!?!?

Relaxation at it’s finest!!

Hubby and I have plans to add do a deck in the front yard. We already talked to his cousin who will be doing most of the work for us. It’s all drawn and figured out, it’s just a matter of the finances and actually DOING it. Everytime we go to the gym we use the hot tub there. We both enjoy it and since we don’t have the kids, it’s nice and relaxing. I keep telling hubby I would really love to get one. We have decided that this is something we are going to do when we get the deck put it. We will go ahead and get a hot tub!! I think it would be great and we would use it alot. We’ve spent alot of time looking at different hot tubs and hot tub accessories that we think we would like to have, pricing things out, etc. I think we may actually go with a hot tub from ebay. My aunt got her from there and my friend also got hers from there and they’ve had good luck. Tonight I was looking around at some cool covers!! They are called SpaScenes. They are super neat. Look at this one:

SpaScene

It’s called Fern Falls. I think it’s super nice. Rather then the boring ole grey or panel looking cover to have to look at you would have this neat little scene type thing. They are waterproof and high chemical resistant, so they are completely safe. And yes, I know your thinking, price… they must me a mint… NOPE, they are nice and afforadable!! Right now the website is offering free shipping on them, but in comparison to any other spa or hot tub cover they are equal in price. I would MUCH rather have one of these scene ones!! They are offered for both large and small spa sizes too!! What a nice and relaxing look!!

This certainly makes me want to get started on the contruction for the deck NOW so I can get the hot tub!! I don’t want to wait anymore!! LOL

Candle Order & Our Pretty Fireworks

July 5th, 2008 by BlogRmom

Last night we went downtown to see the fireworks. Let’s just say, it’s a bit hectic to cram 200,00+ people into a little iddy biddy bridge area to see the show. Most of whom have spent the day down there getting drunk and listening to the bands play prior to the fireworks. So yes, it’s a wonderful time to say the least. Once you get past the drunk people, beer tents, spilled food, cans all over the road and sidewalks, garbage cans randonly placed in the middle of sidewalks, you can actually enjoy the show. Last nights show lasted about 35 minutes. This is much longer then the last few years. It was 15 minutes tops which frankly for me isn’t worth the hassle, but the kids like it. So I was pleasantly suprised last night. We had good weather and it was a nice show. Overall Fire Over the Fox which is sponsered by Festival Foods was a great show!! Here’s a couple pictures I got, I only took my Point and Shoot camera so they aren’t the best!!

I absolutely loved this one:

Here’s one of the Ground Showers and some in the sky:

Fireworks Shower

And this one got TONS of cheers from the crowd. You might not understand it, but we are from Green Bay, home of the Green Bay Packers Football team.  So this is the Green Bay Packers ‘G’ and a heart next to it… because “We Love Our Green Bay Packers!”:

We 'Heart' Green Bay!

You can see a few more of my shots on Flickr here. It was a fun night… So was coming home and trying to sleep! But that’s another story!! LOL

On another note, I got my Candle Order today from Lara at The Sage Grove. I am hopelessly addicted to her stuff. She’s got some new scents. I always order them in tarts first. Then I go ahead and order the candles if I really like the scent. Although I have loved all of the scents I have gotten from her!! I just have some FAVS. I am excited to see what she brings out for Fall scents because the summer ones are awesome. On this order I got Love Spell, Caribean Coconut, Honey Coco Mango, Monkey Toots and Spring Rain. I love them all. The smell in my home right now is Monkey Toots. It’s a banana smell. I LOVE LOVE it. It’s soft and wonderful, and the name of it makes me giggle a little each time!! LOL

Okay bloggers, I am off to start my day. I do have a link for you today: Looking for some electronic deals? Look no further!! Check it out!! They have some awesome things!!

Thunderstorms, Kiddie Pools & Kiddie Drama

July 2nd, 2008 by BlogRmom

Today started out VERY early for me. By very early I mean 2am. Before hubby’s alarm even went off I was woke by some BAD thunderstorms.  I really don’t get “scared”, but the kids do. I just can’t sleep because they are rather loud and annoying. I much prefer them during the day. This way I can watch them. I kinda like watching them. But anyway… they carried on pretty much until 7-8am.  I don’t remember the exact time. I started to fade and fall asleep as one child climbed into bed with me… then shortly after the other… then within 15 minutes the dog… then within 5 minutes everyone stealing pillows and blankets until I yelled at the top of my lungs “Lay down and go to sleep!” Then there was silence… for what seemed like 20 minutes, however, it was MUCH longer then that. I wake to see 11:30am on the clock. Holy crap!! 11:30am!! Everyone slept so late!! My brother is here too and when we piled out of the bedroom he was just waking up too. It was quite the morning…

The kids are starting to feel the effects of the summer. They are fighting day in and day out and about anything and everything they can. Simple things like which color cup someone had YESTERDAY. Mind you I’ve washed them and redistrubuted them. So it really doesn’t matter anymore who had what color yesterday. But they will fight. I am worn and tired. The fighting has to end. I try to plan an activity with them everyday, but we are quickly running out of things to do. We can only visit so many parks, go to so many pools, and shop so much… Then we are right back at home. And I do have some housework to do so some days we just have to be at home… So here comes plan B… the kiddie pools. I buy one since my brother is here all summer and will sit outside with them if I am in here cleaning. Yes, what a genius plan, right?!?! WRONG!! We are already on our SECOND one! Number 1 has a hole already! The kids sucessfully played in it for less then 20 minutes and we have a hole. This is not a “patchable” type pool so I am just out the $12.99… Okay… so this time I slurge and spent $14.99 and get one I can patch. They haven’t gotten to play in yet. It’s not warm enough today because of the storms. We shall see how long this one lasts.

Okay well I think I need to finish my laundry and go break up the next fight I hear in progress!! UGH! The life of a mother! Exciting! Here’s a link you should all check out… I think I definetly need too!! North Padre Island rentals

Celeb Gossip: Spears, Blake Lewis, Luke Perry & A little of My Boring Life!

June 27th, 2008 by BlogRmom

It’s really dreary here today. It’s still very hot and muggy though. In the high 80’s and HUMID! My Central Air is WORKING!! They came yesterday afternoon. It’s a cool 71 degrees in here now. MUCH more tolerable. So I am inside looking out. I had the usual duties today, making some breakfast, cleaning up a bit, making beds, and then I jumped online to see what was up here. Nothing much… Reads emails… blah blah boring… Yup… So I went ahead and did some Celeb research because I needed something to stimulate my brain!!

Looks like Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were in court again about custody. I am glad to see things on the upswing. She was granted an overnight visit with her sons. Perfect!! I do think she is getting the help that she needs and I do think it is important that she gets to have some time with her children. It’s important for any child. Although, she HAS to prove she is stable. I think she is doing that.  So I am glad to see this and hope it doesn’t prove to be a mess like the last overnight visit.

Another thing I am looking forward too is the return of 90210. I was SO sad when the show was canceled.  I literally cried on the last epiosde. I am not kidding you. Looks like the CW is picking it up. I am glad to see some of the old characters are returning, but bummed that Luke Perry is not. I do think it would be cool to have all the original characters on board however, I know that will never happen. But hey, a girl can hope, right? Look what happened with New Kids on the Block… hehe

Lastly, I am a JUNKIE for American Idol… I was reading that Blake Lewis (you know the Beat Boxer from last season) has parted ways from Arista Records. I am sad about that. He sold 300,000 records and he is happy about that, but I really think he could do so much more. He is a great artist. I don’t know why they chose not to renew his contract, apparently that wasn’t enough money for them, but I am sure someone will sign him. He’s got a talent with the Beat Boxing that no one else had.

Alright, time to figure out what is for dinner tonight and start making it. I went and registered my husband’s motorcycle today. He’ll be excited about that. So maybe this weekend (pending no rain) we can take a ride. My brother is thinking of coming over tonight, so I am sure if he does he will babysit for a little while. Oh man… maybe I should order out for dinner… I hate cooking and I really don’t want to cook!! The dreaded DINNER!! UGH! Oh yes, and your link of the day: medical devices. See you later bloggers!
