Detox & Drug Addiction

May 24th, 2010 by Bobbie

I think that people are afraid of addiction. But more so they are afraid of rehab. Addiction is a disease and it tears many families apart. Many people lose jobs, spouses, families, personal belongings, etc while dealing with an addiction. I believe that rehab is a great way for people to start the healing process. I understand that a lot of drugs carry severe withdraw symptoms. That is probably the most painful thing for a lot of people. I think rapid detox is a GREAT alternative for people worried about withdraw. Addiction doesn’t happen overnight and neither will the healing process. However, being healed in a controlled setting is much less painful and seemingly more effective for a lot of people!

Colon Cleansing

March 16th, 2010 by BlogRmom

Is colon cleansing a good idea? Colon Cleansers have been one of the most popular health supplements sold on the market today. I think they are a good idea, but only if you are going to use them and then make a change. A colon clease is great to detoxify your body of the junk you’ve been eating. However, if you are going back to eating that same junk then really WHAT is the point? There’s not. I recently started a diet and I did a cleanse before the diet. For days I felt weak and cruddy. However, when it was all done and I started eating healthy, I felt better then I ever have before. BUT, I did make the choice to start eating MUCH healthier… no soda, no candy, as little sugar as possible, lower carbs, high protien, lots of vegetables, etc.

Lipozene for Dieting

March 16th, 2010 by BlogRmom

We’ve all heard about lipozene and how AMAZING it is to help you lose weight. But here’s the question… what makes this so amazing? Well according to REAL reviews by real people it is NOT all that amazing. In fact it is referred to as a “glorified fiber pill”. Okay, I think almost everyone is well aware of what that means. Can you say bonding moment with the toliet? Seriously, we need to read reviews before we just buy and take things. You will have a much better outcome!!

My Recent Diet Expierence

March 10th, 2010 by BlogRmom

We are all looking diets for quick weight loss. Well I am going to tell you there are very few out there. Some are better then others, but you do need to do some research. You can’t go to sleep and expect to lose 20 pounds. If only it were that easy. However, some are MUCH faster then others. I’ve tried SO many and I can tell you from expierence that IS the case. Some worked fast, then tappered off, some worked slow and I never gave them the chance. What you do depends on what you can tolerate and how long you are willing to try them.

Automobiles

March 10th, 2010 by BlogRmom

Ah the fun topic of automobiles. We all have them, we all need them. There is a huge responsibilty and liability when it comes to them though. It’s called insurance. Whether you have a carrier or are looking for auto insurance quotes, the price of insurance always matters when buying a new or new used vehicle! I say this because before I buy or lease a new vehicle the one call I make FIRST is to my insurance agent. I ask what the insurance will be and I consider that in my decision. The reason being is because you do have to pay on that and it DOES come in the cost of the vehicle. You want to make sure it is affordable and that you can make the payment. There is no gamble with insurance… we need to protect ourselves, our passengers and our investment!

Prenatal Vitamins

February 19th, 2010 by BlogRmom

Pregnant? Taking prenatal vitamins is a great source of supplement nutrition for you and your baby. I’ve taken them throughout my pregnancies and even after. I loved my prenatal vitamins and taking them helped my baby. There are so many out there and many brands and some of them have additional things in them, picking one can be overwhelming. This is where a ob/gyn comes into play very well. They can help you make the decisions that are right for you and your child!

6 More Weeks?!!!

February 9th, 2010 by BlogRmom

I am really bummed about this groundhog and 6 more weeks of winter. Seriously! I need to move to a warmer region and be done with winter. I am thinking like Las Vegas or California area. I was looking today at San Jose real estate. MAN, is it beautiful there!! It looks so warm and so nice. I would love to have access to a beach all the time too. The weather is a considering factor for me. What would make you relocate? Would you only for a job? For family?

How Do You Internet?

February 9th, 2010 by BlogRmom

How do you access your internet? I know these days most people have high speed internet. I used to think that our house was odd. We have THREE computers in a house of 4 people. But as I began talking to more and more people there are multiple computers, laptops or netbooks in every house. We currently have a desktop computer and 2 laptops. I do however want to replace my laptop with a MAC. If I do that we will then have FOUR computers. I do not find this odd as there are 4 people in the house and everyone needs to access the computer. The kids for school, hubby for fun and iTunes, and me for my scrapbooking and photography. It’s natural for us to all have a computer here… how about your family?

Home Repairs!

February 9th, 2010 by BlogRmom

It’s time for us to get started on a few home repairs here again. I hate the mess, but love when everything is done. We are adding in a pocket door this week. It will be a lot of construction and my fridge is in the middle of my kitchen, but it will be worth it. The wall that they need to frame and open is the one the fridge sits on. So we have to adjust. We also have to grab a new lighting fixture for the kitchen. The one they installed only accepts a 60 watt bulb and let me tell you, this is NOT bright enough. I have a HUGE kitchen. So we are going to pick that and the door out today! I’m excited to have the repairs DONE!

Gym Time

January 20th, 2010 by BlogRmom

What is your favorite thing to do at the gym? Lately I have had a lot of work outs because I am working to lose some extra weight and I am getting so board with the nordic track and treadmill. I need to keep some cardio (mostly cardio) in there though, so I am wondering how everyone else mixes up their routines. I have a rotation for my weight training, but nothing for my cardio. Doesn’t cardio also work muscles? So I would want to rotate cardio machines too, correct? Oh this is all so confusing!!
