Logically speaking… He's God?!?

July 31st, 2008 by BlogRmom

Okay, so maybe not, but sometimes I have to wonder. I think my parents really are glad that they have my HUSBAND in their lives. Wait… my WHOLE family. They like me, but they love him. He’s the perfect person to them. He never could do a thing wrong. So when I call my mom and say he’s being an asshole, she laughs. Can you believe that? She does!! She’s then says “There is not a mean bone in his body. What did you do?” Are you serious? When we are invited to parties and engagements for my family, they actually CALL me before they set the date. “Is Travis working on XXX or XXX?” Then a week later an invite is in my mailbox. Soon the party invitations will be addressed soley to him. You just watch!! I get it, without him my life frankly sucks. It’s boring and he’s my spice in life. I will admit that. I love him to death and I can’t believe that I am saying this (he reads this blog) I am a better person because of him. But dear lord, I wish my family would like me!!

Cept here’s the shoe on the other foot… My in laws… they like ME way better then they like my husband! My mother in law calls me more then she calls him. My father in law, the same. My father in law will stop over and take me and the kids to dinner when my husband is working nights. If I call my MIL and tell her that my husband is being an asshole, she says “What?!?! Put him on the phone!” Oh yes, I am evil and I do tell his mommy!! MUAH!! It’s the one way I can assure to get my way everytime, just the threat of calling her will work. Not that I abuse it, but it can have it’s advantages.

Why is this? Why doesn’t YOUR family like you? Why do they like your spouse better? I don’t get it…

LOL That’s so much better than the inlaws hating you! Or your fam hating him.
Our families are a little more balanced, most of the time. There are still sometimes that I have to have Selo straighten his mom out (she has a bad taste in her mouth from the ex), and sometimes that I have to give my mom a different perspective. But we are pretty blessed.
I love your situation. It really makes me laugh!

LOL. With us it’s the opposite.. at least with my family. They love me but OPENLY hate my husband, which really pisses me off b/c when they talk crap about him, I always feel the need to defend him and in turn THAT pisses me off!

My IL’s love me though. :)
