I am so sore today!! I fell yesterday. Honestly I thought my days of that kinda thing were YEARS past and YEARS away, but alas it happened. The snow melting off the bottom of the truck drips on to the garage floor. It’s slippery, but when the temps go from 30 degrees to -30 degrees it’s a mess!! So it’s ICE! I was taking a case of pizzas from the back of the truck and bringing them in the house. I JUST told Alex to be careful on the patch of ice that was stitcking out… and low and behold I turn start to walk and fell. I hit the garage floor tailbone first. I am in so much pain today. Naturally I didn’t seek medical attention because honestly it was a little fall in the “big” picture and I don’t think anything is broken or anything like that… it’s just sore, aches, and hurts.

I went in the closet for the heating pad only to find out that it is no longer working… I rarely use it… But my back needs some TLC today. It completely sucks with temperatures so cold outside they are advising you NOT leave the house, me hating the cold, having AF, being in pain… UGH!! I want to scream, I want to cry, but I’ll just blog and leave it at that….

So yesterday we spent the whole day running errands and paying bills. It was the suckiest of all things!! Hubby woke me up before 8am and I am SO not a morning person. It was NOT fun… well that was until we ended up at Saturn. He decided to “stop” in and see what they would do for a trade-in on my car. Okay, I’ll bite. So we got an AWESOME deal!! They gave us between the trade-in, owner loyality, cash back, and Saturn bucks - $8000 off the price of the truck!! So the car had only 1 year of payments left on it and we pushed that to now 3 years and the payment is the EXACT same (minus a few pennies) of what the car payment was. So all in all it was a good deal and we ended up in a BRAND NEW 2008 Saturn Vue XE!! This baby is awesome! All wheel drive (works great in the snow), all power windows and locks, onstar, built in handsfree for my phone, a warranty that covers everything but gas (including all oil changes and tire rotations and maintence stuff), and HEATED seated!! They are cloth seats, but they are heated!! I so love it. It’s wonderful and so many more things!! I’ve wanted a truck for so long so I am so happy to finally have one!! Anyhow… that was my excitement for yesterday!! hehe

You know they say the older you are the wiser you are… I don’t doubt that is true to some extent. My kids sure have taught me a lot of things though. As I thought about it this morning while I was in the shower I realized “Wow, these little buggers are so much smarter then we give them credit for.” They always have the right thing to say when you are having a crappy day. They always make you laugh, even when you sick and feeling like shit. They always say the most UNappropriate things at the most UNappropriate times, making you look like a complete ass. But last night my almost 4 year old taught me a VERY good lesson…

NEVER “WRESTLE” WITH YOUR SPOUSE IN BED WITH THE DOOR OPEN.

You see, even with a quick check to make sure they were sleeping, that wasn’t enough. My toddler waddles through the house into my room. He wanted a drink. We didn’t see him so he proceeded to go back out of the room. He then goes and wakes my daughter up and says that “Daddy’s wrestling with mom” and she says “Alex, go to sleep”. He wanted a drink… So he proceeded to come back into our room and throw his cup on the floor to get our attention. (He tells me this story this morning). Hubby stops dead and sends him to his room telling him he’ll bring him a drink. He grabs a robe and brings Alex a cup of milk… PHEW… Lesson learned!!

Okay at a forum I am in we like to “theme” our AV’s each month for a little fun… it’s a cute fun thing to do and this month is baby… BUT the catch is… it’s YOUR baby photo. I have VERY few photos of myself, just a few that are in my baby book. So I went ahead and found the book and scanned one in, cleaned it up and we have a baby picture!! I was the cutest baby!! hehe
